After Hours/Nurse Triage

Nurse Triage & After Hours Care

Our nursing staff is trained to handle routine questions and help determine if an appointment is needed or if advice can be given over the telephone.

Our nursing staff will also determine if your physician’s involvement is necessary in answering the question. The nurses will discuss your questions with your physician between patient examinations and call you back with their instructions. This allows a quick response to your questions.

All calls before 4:00 pm to our nurse line will be returned the same day. If the nurse determines your physician needs to speak to you, the physician will return your call over the lunch hour or at the end of the day. Calls are processed in that way to keep our physicians on time for scheduled appointments.

Feel Free to call us at (402) 564-7200, option 4.

After-Hours

We offer after-hours nurse triage by calling our office at (402) 564-7200.

You'll be connected with specially trained pediatric nurses who can assist with your questions and concerns.

If needed, they have direct access to our pediatricians for further guidance.

We encourage you to refer to our website first, when practical, before calling the office.

Emergencies

If an emergency should arise, please call 911.

Emergencies are considered to be those conditions that are life-threatening: loss of consciousness, severe bleeding, seizure, etc. In the case of minor emergencies (lacerations, cuts, mild fractures, sprains), please call our office first for instructions.
